Summary:

This button will label the (x,y) coordinates of a data point in a graph window.

Description:

This button will label the (x,y) coordinates of a data point in a graph window. It allows the user to select an XY point using the Data Reader tool, and then label the point at a position determined by using the Screen Reader tool.

Open Origin and then double-click on LabelXY.OPK to unpack the file. You will see a new toolbar with a single button. You might want to add this button to one of the other Origin toolbars. To do this select View:Toolbars. You are now in edit mode and can customize the display of the toolbars. For example, drag-n-drop the button onto the Graph toolbar to add it to this toolbar.

The button is only available when you have a Graph active. When the button is clicked, the mouse pointer turns into the Data Reader tool. Select a data point and then double-click or press Enter on the keyboard. You will now see the Screen Reader. This time position the cursor where you want the label positioned and then press Enter.

it is useful but I find that the data is not exact. And you must click on the active curve.

It works nice and is useful just for these cases you need to mark some point(s).

Doesn't work if a date is one of the values.

how about labeling a point without data, e.g. a point of the plotted curve between 2 data?
