Summary:

This tool allows user to automatically import data, and create graphs, from multiple data files.

Description:

User will need to follow these simple steps:
1> Manually import one data file using the Import Wizard, and save all import settings to a filter
2> Create all necessary graphs from the imported data
3> Save the Origin Project, to be used as a template with this tool

Once a single file has been manually processed and an OPJ created with all necessary graphs, user can then invoke this batch processing tool by clicking on the 1st button of the new toolbar added by this tool.

The tool will then ask user to select all of the data files to be processed, and will ask for a saved OPJ to be used as template. It will then import each file into a separate Project Explorer subfolder, and create all the graph windows for each data file inside each of the subfolders.

More detailed instructions are available in a PDF document that can be launched by clicking on the 2nd button of the toolbar.

To install this tool, download and save the OPK file, and then simply drag and drop the OPK file onto the Origin interface.

Requires Origin 7.5

Version history:

Ver 1.0:
--------
First release

Ver 2.0:
--------
1. Reminder dialog no longer pops up - template OPJ is appended as subfolder automatically for each data file
2. Template OPJ can have multiple worksheets. Data will be imported into the worksheet that has an ASCII filter saved in it. Therefore this requires that the filter be saved inside the worksheet. Filters saved outside are no longer supported.
3. Works with V7.5 SR2 and higher

Ver 2.1:
--------
1. Fixed bug related to crash when running script code from the last page of the import wizard.
2. Appended project windows now have better enumerated names (instead of just A1, A2 etc). This however requires that you install the SR5 patch.

19th Jul 2006: File was missing extension - added .OPK extension so it can be dropped on Origi for unpacking

When you get the error message: "User Defined import function returned error. Using Filter: C:\Program Files\Origin Lab\OriginPro75\Filters\KaleidaGraph.oif" You need to manually rename the download file from "Batch" to "Batch.opk" and install it again.
